She retired in 1980 from Plain Local Schools, have taught at Plain Center and Pleasant View Schools and Cedar and Baxter Elementary schools in Canton.

She enjoyed playing golf at Edgewood and Bob-O-Link Golf Clubs, was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by a daughter and three sons and one brother.
