Stella Brooks was just 16 years old when she died. She was the daughter of Milo W. Brooks (1841-1881) and Olive C. JEFFERS (1845-1917). Stella was born in Michigan - probably Danby, Ionia County, and probably died there as well. She had one sibling that died either in infancy or childbirth in 1869 and who is buried next to Stella.

NOTE: Based on her headstone, we had year of birth as 1871 and her death as 1887. Another findagrave member contacted me and indicated that Stella's death date was 16 Aug 1887 and that she was 16 years, 8 months and 25 days old at the time of her death.
Using the dates/age the findagrave member sent me, I used a website that calculates date of birth based on date of death and age at death and this gave me a birth date of 21 Nov 1870 versus the year 1871 as found on her headstone.
