Vonne Oyler, age 80 of Bosque Farms, NM and most recently from Santa Rosa, NM passed away August 1, 2010 at home with her loved ones.
Vonne was born on November 4, 1929 in Clovis, Curry County, New Mexico to the home of Adrian L. and Thelma Anderson. She was raised and attended school in Belen, NM where she met and married Melvin Lee Oyler on September 21, 1948.

Vonne worked as an X-Ray Technician for the late Dr. J.A. Rivas, she was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and served several terms as president. She was also a foster grand parent at the Bosque Farms Elementary school; she loved working with those children.

Vonne enjoyed sewing, reading and crochet. She was a wonderful cook; she also enjoyed gardening and puttering around the yard. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Vonne, Mom and Nenaw, we all love you dearly and will miss you always.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Adrian L. and Thelma Anderson, her loving husband of 35 years; Melvin Lee Oyler, her brother; Adrian L. (Bud) Anderson and companion James C. Sweet. Survivors include her daughters; Stephanie Lamb and husband Lester of Santa Rosa, Sandy Edwards and companion Bud Hunter of Bosque Farms, her sister; Lynn Derr of Belen, sister in law; Dorothy Anderson of Belen, her brother; James Anderson and wife Calene of Farmington, grandchildren; Christopher Lamb, Melissa and Joshua Edwards, great grandchildren; Meghan, Lester, Ethan and Austin Lamb, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Rosary services will be held on Monday, August 2, at 7:00 PM from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow and the interment of cremains will be held at a later date at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen.
