MRS. CHRISTIA ANN STEIGER
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Hunter funeral home for Mrs. Christia Ann Steiger, 77, Oklahoma pioneer, who died Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Iva Mae Essary, 1115 NW 9.
Mrs. Steiger made the run at the opening of the Cherokee Strip in 1893, settling near Pond Creek. She came to Oklahoma City in 1918.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Essary and Mrs. Florence Coleman, both of the city; seven sons, C. R., Ventura, Calif.; R. E., Berkeley, Calif., F. E., Talent, Ore.; Rev. Asa T., Custer City; Arthur, Orvile and Cecil, all of the city; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Wilkins, Albany, Calif., and Mrs. A. C. Schrieber, Larned, Kan.
Burial will be in the cemetery at Pond Creek.
