Mr. Krout retired from farming in Washington township, York county, 19 years ago and moved to Dillsburg. He was a live-long resident of the community and was a member of the Barrens Lutheran congregation.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Leah Krout; these sons and daughters; Mrs. James Duttera, East Berlin; Mrs. Otis Myers, Dillsburg; Jesse, York R.D.; Edward C., Thomasville, and L. M. Krout, Littlestown; 31 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two brothers and three sisters, Samuel, Emigsville; Spangler, Steelton; Mrs. Allen Hamme and Mrs. Malinda Bentz, York R.D., and Mrs. Rosie Wonders, Dillsburg R. D.
Funeral services Monday with brief services at the house at 10 a.m. and further services in the Barrens church. The Rev. G.N. Young, Lutheran pastor will officiate. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
