A Mother in Israel Gone
Mrs. Lydia A. Boyle, one of the oldest residents of Liberty Corner, died on November 20th, aged about 80 years, and was buried November 23rd, after largely attended funeral services in the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, of which she became a member at a second communion service of the church sixty five years ago. Rev. C.B. Condit, a former pastor, officiated, preaching from Job XIX:25, “I Know that my Redeemer Liveth.”.
Deceased was a daughter of William Annin and Sarah Kirkpatrick and was the last survivor of seven children, six sisters and a brother.
She was born August 19, 1827, in the “Old Stone House” at Liberty Corner, was married to the late John Ferdinand Boyle, January 27, 1848, the issue being twelve children, of whom all but one are living.
Mrs. Boyle was a woman most highly esteemed by a large circle of friends - a good wife, a fond mother, a sincere Christian, her influence was great and will be greatly missed in the community where she lived so long and so well.
