My great-grandmother was born October 13, 1865 in Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia to parents Louis Nielander and Charlotte Mann. Her family moved to Pittsburgh, Allegheny County Pa. between 1870 and 1874. Her father owned a grocery store there. She met and married Frederick Louis Fischer May 5, 1887 in Pittsburgh where they lived out the rest of their lives. She had 9 children, 8 survived to adulthood. She died March 19, 1944.
