The sad news of the accidental death of Mrs. Helen Murphree, wife of Mr. Jesse Murphree, the postmaster of Walnut Grove, Etowah county Ala.
It appears that she got in a buggy to visit some friends and neighbors. The horse scared at something, throwing her out against a tree, crushing her skull and breaking her neck. Death was almost instantaneous.
Mrs. Murphree was a most estimable lady, nearly sixty years old, and have been a zealous member of the Baptist church. We deeply sympathize with her aged husband and children in this sad bereavement. May a merciful Lord comfort them and may they yield to the will of Him who doeth all for the best.
