Woodrow Wilson (Woody) Ward, 73, passed away in Oakland, California, on December 28, 1989. A native of LeFlore, Oklahoma, he lived in Oakland since 1946.

Survived by loving wife, Lila Ward of Oakland; daughter, Carolyn Heaton; son-in-law, Dean Heaton of Modesto; beloved grandpa of Christopher Ward and Katie Madeline Heaton; also survived by sisters, Lela Ward of Fresno, California, Babe Raleigh of Apple Valley, California, Nell Sims of Pensacola, Florida; one brother, Mack Ward of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; and many family members and dear friends.

A lifetime member of the VFW Post 3570, San Francisco, California and Mended Hearts. He retired from ILWU Local #10.

Friends are invited to attend services, Tuesday, January 2nd, at 10:00 a.m. in the Laurel Chapel, 3300 High Street, Oakland with the Reverend Stephen Roehl officiating.

Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, California.
