RUDOLPH (RUDY) BETTS: 87; Ortonvl, passed away Tuesday morning [3-05] in Ortonvl Hosp. He was born 11 Feb 1909 in Barry to Louis & Berthea Amenson Betts. He attended school through the 10th grade. On 10 Aug 1933 Rudy was united in marriage to Pearl May Wold in BrownsValley. They farmed in FosterTwp most of his adult life. After retiring, Rudy-Pearl mo-ved to a home 3 miles from Ortonville, over-looking BigStone Lake. Rudy enjoyed hunting, fishing & gardening.
Survivors include his wife Pearl-Ortonville; a dau: Donna (sp-Dwight) Paulson-MendotaHts; 2 sons: RudyJr (Lois)-Wichita KS & Richard-White Bear Lake; sis: Myrtle Bobblett-Roches-ter; a bro: Ray-SanFrancsico CA; 9 grandchil-dren & 6 gr-granchildren.
Services were held Friday [3-08] in the Larson Funeral Home-Ortonville. Pastor Rory Swenson officiated with Pat Kunz organist & Don Price soloist. Pallbearers were Rudy's granchildren: Chad, Craig, Clay, Jim Betts, Lori Betts Schulte, Ryan, Brant, Taryn & Tonya Paulson. Interment was in ClintonCity Cem.
