Above her name on her tombstone is a crown and above the crown is the word "GLORY." There are lines that radiate out from the crown to show the "glory" shining. The same image is on the back of the stone.

On both the right and left sides of the stone is a star with rays of light radiating out of it and below the star are the words "I AM THE LIFE."

NOTE: The crown on cemetery monuments symbolizes the triumph over death or everlasting life.

1 Peter 5:4 - "And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away."

NOTE: The star on cemetery monuments symbolizes Jesus.

The Old Testament used the star to symbolize the coming Messiah; Jesus:

Numbers 24:17 - "I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre (King) shall rise out of Israel..."

It was a star that led the wise men to Jesus at his birth:

Matt 2:2 - "Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."

Jesus refers to Himself as the bright morning star in Revelation:

Rev. 22:16 - "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."

Jesus referred to Himself at the Light of the World:

John 8:12 - "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

Both God and Jesus referred to themselves as "I AM"

Exodus 3:14 - "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you."

John 8:58 - "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."

Jesus has told us all the way to heaven:

John 14:6: "Jesus saith unto him, I AM the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
