GORDON A MATHEWS--55: ESpringfield; died at his home early Monday [6-13] following an extended illness. He was a former employee of the Girard Manufacturing Co.
Survivors include his wife Sara Waid Mathews; 8 children: Wilma sp-Robert) Perry-E.Springfld; Lila(sp-Alford) Wright-Girard; Marjorie(sp-Wm) Bort-Conneaut; Linda (sp-Rich) Frank-Girard; Julia at home; Hubert serving in the US Army-North Carolina; Charles & Robert-both Girard; 4 sis: MrsLillie-Englewood FL; MrsMarion Hud-son-Pierpont OH; MrsCharles Rich-Frankfort IN; MrsJames Slider-Conneaut; 2 bros: Grand-MonroeCntr; Howard-Clymer NY & 27 grand-children.
Service will be Friday afternoon [6-16] at the Lester Evans Funeral Home with Rev Michael Rickard, assistant pastor of Federated Church of East Springfield presiding. Burial in East Springfield Cem.
