Services for Mr. Robert A. George will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2005 in the chapel of John Kramer & Son with the Rev. Stephen Brandow officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Ball under the direction of John Kramer & Son.

Robert A. George, age 73, of Pineville, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

He retired after 21 years from the United States Air Force having served in Korea and Vietnam. Upon his retirement, he worked 11 years for the Rapides Parish Airport Authority and he also worked for the Rapides Parish School Board for 14 years.

Robert George is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eula George of Pineville; five children, Rhonda George Trusler and husband Mike, Robert A. George, Jr. and wife Sharon of Pensacola, Fla., Monica George Edmonson of Alexandria, Gary M. George and wife Billie Jean of Baton Rouge and Russell A. George of Pineville; one nephew and three nieces who reside in Moline, Ill.; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Friends are asked to call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of services Friday at John Kramer & Son.

A rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Full military burial honors will be provided by the Barksdale Air Force Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Robert A. George, Jr., Gary George, Russell George, Dustin Dubroc, Mike Trusler and Rob "Snob" Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Emerson "Buck" Peet, Norman Peet, Allan Peet, Keith Peet, Mark Peet, Danny Peet, Bob Rutledge and Josh Baillio.
