A retired farmer, Mr. Krout was born in Franklin county, a son of the late Henry and Leah Reynold Krout. He was a member of St. Peter's (Lichey's) Union Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Maurice Staub, Thomasville R. 1, and Mrs. Merle Myers, Spring Grove R. 1; three sons, Eugene Krout, Thomasville R. 1, Raymond Krout, Middleburg and Kenneth Krout, 1502 Fireside Road; two step-daughters, Mrs. Luther Wagner, East Berlin R. 2; and Mrs. Dorothy Runkle, York; a Stepson Leroy Runkle, York; 14 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Lee Amos Krout, Hanover.
Interment will be in Barrens Cemetery.
