She was a daughter of the late Furman Christian Inabinet and Maude Lillian Inabinet. She was an active member of Limestone United Methodist Church for 60 years, sharing her deep faith in God and serving as a children's Sunday school teacher, choir member and participating in the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was a graduate of St. Matthews High School and received a two-year business degree. She was a homemaker for many years and, later in life, a co-owner and bookkeeper for Triple A Tractor Company of Orangeburg. She was also a talented seamstress and enjoyed traveling, reading, quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Weaver Amaker; her daughter, Wilma Rose A. Campbell Hammond; brothers Carl Inabinet and Clifton Inabinet; and sisters Valeria I. Myers and Vernan I. Rucker.

Survivors include a son, William "Billy" (Nancy) Amaker of Lexington; two daughters, Judy A. (Sid) Livingston of Pelion and Cynthia A. (Wesley) Busbee of Irmo; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel I. Fogle, and a brother, Symmes Inabinet, both of St. Matthews.
