Fred O. Swafford, 84 R.2 Homer, Clarendon Twp, Mi passed away at Arbor Manor Nursing Homer in Spring Arbor, Mi, Wednesday at 8 A.m. following a long illness.
He was born March 2, 1886 in Richmond, Ind. the son of William and Mary Jane (Hinkle) Swafford. His young life was spent in Indiana.
On August 15, 1906 he married Laura E Williams in Indiana who preceded him in death in 1957.
They moved to the Homer Area March 7, 1919 and Mr Swafford engaged in farming until he retired in 1959.
Survivors include:
4 sons, W. Albert, J, Delbert, George, Fred
2 daughters Edith, Helen
22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren
4 brothers, James, John, Bert, Warren
2 sisters Cora and Dora
Friends were received at the Westbrook-Tidd funeral home where services were held Saturday at 1:30 P.M. with the Rev R. L Tillson, officiating. Interment in West Clarendon Cemetery
