MRS. LUCY COWGILL DIES
PASSES AWAY AT HOME OF DAUGHTER IN WICHITA FALLS

Mrs. Lucy Cowgill, former old time resident of Carthage, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Flossie Senter in Wichita Falls, Texas. The message received by relatives here did not give further particulars other than the body would be brought to Carthage for burial.

Mrs. Cowgill was about 70 years old. She had gone to Wichita Falls only a week ago from Los Angeles, California where she had been making her home for some time. Her health, however had been poor for the past year.

Mrs. Cowgill had not lived in Carthage for some years. She last was back in Carthage on a visit about six years ago. Her husband, A. G. Cowgill, died in Carthage about 37 years ago.
Mrs. Cowgill was a daughter of the late
Major A. B. Parkell.
Mrs. Clyde Baker and
Mrs. Florence Garnet of this city are sisters.

Other surviving sisters are:
Miss Kate Parkell of Los Angeles, California
Mrs. Frank Adams of Santa Anna, California &
Mrs. Laura McLelland of Los Angeles
Fred Cowgill, a son lives at Wheeling, W.VA
Mrs. Senter is the only daughter surviving.
