Patsy BUTT, 59, Vivian, La., died unexpectedly Oct. 7 at Christus Schumpter Medical Center, Shreveport, La.
Born to Carl and Pauline RUSSELL HENDRICKS in Winamac, she married Richard BUTT in 1958 in Rochester. He survives.
Mrs. Butt, a Vivian resident for 34 years, was a teacher's aide for Caddo Parish School Corp. for 12 years. An avid fisherman, she was selected as Woman of the Year by the Vivian Chamber of Commerce. She was selected Special Olympics Coach of the Year. She managed the Vivian City Pool for several years and was selectd Woman of the year b y Feeration of Womens Club. She was a member of the Zetalathean Club and Vivian First Baptist Church.
Suriving with her husband of Vivian, are three daughters, Rebecca Ann HARNESS and husband Mark, Kellery; Tex.; Elizabeth Ann MABRY, Dallas, Tex.; Cindy CHADWICK and husband Trace, Shreveport, La.; one son, David BUTT, Shreveport, La.; her mother, Pauline Hendricks, Rochester; one sister, Nancy KANOUSE and husband David, Kokomo, six grandchildren, Richard West MABRY and Hannah Elizabeth MABRY, both of Dallas, Tex.; William BARTON and Samuel Robert CHADWICK, both of Shreveport, La.; Glenna Mary Kathryn HARNESS and Noah Eli HARNESS, both of Keller, Tex.; one sister-in-law, Linda WALTERS and husband Lloyd, Rochester; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was her father.
Services are at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Junior BOSE officiating. Burial is at Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Vivian Special Olympics at Vivian Middle School, Vivian, La., or American Lung Associatio-Asthmatic Research Division.
