In an e-mail dated Saturday, April 17, 1999, Dorothea Muriel Brooks, Lonson Brooks and Dorothea Margaret-Kienzle's daughter, wrote to her cousin Clair about her father:
"Father had a coronary. He was on a boat on the Hudson with my Mother. There was no history of cancer on my Dad's side - all heart and way back one suicide or so the story goes."
"My Dad originally was an investigator for R.G. Dun, the company that became Dun & Bradstreet. When the depression hit, he formed a bookbinding supply company with a fellow named Jack Miller, Milbrook Supply Co., in lower Manhattan.
Jack was a no good who stole him blind and he was replaced by a Paul (can't think of his last name at the moment)."
