Emily was a loving homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated and lifelong member of the First Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school and was a member of the Esther Class in which she had countless lifelong friends. Emily was an avid quilter since childhood with an extensive collection she designed; she was a member of several quilting clubs. She had many other hobbies including crafts, antiques and upholstery but her first love was tending her yard and garden. She had a great love of animals having raised peacocks and ducks as well as caring for injured wildlife and loving her dogs. She was always active and kept busy with many endeavors until her health prevented her from participating. Emily was loved by all who knew her for her kindness and generosity.
