Boury, Betty Jo Cook, of Williamsburg Circle, Wheeling, died February 16, 2001, in Wheeling Hospital. She was born March 18, 1922, in Kokomo, IN.

She was the daughter of the late Mildred Cook McCray and Virlin Cook.

She was a Catholic and a former manager and buyer for the Factory Glass Outlet and Gift Shops of Wheeling. She was a member of the Women's Club of Wheeling, Wheeling Symphony Auxiliary, Soroptomist Club, and Ogelbay Women's Golf Association.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Padden and her husband Tom of Wheeling; a son, Michael Boury and his wife Mary Ann, of Wheeling; a daughter, Lynne Moyle and her husband Michael of Pottstown, PA; and a son, Gregg Boury and his wife Tiffany of Wheeling.

In addition, she is survived by 11 grandchildren. They are Michael Padden of Minneapolis, MN; Tim Padden and his wife Audrey of West Dundee, IL; Aimee Padden of Dallas, TX; Karin Kidd and her husband Chris of Streamwood, IL; Stacey Boury of Orlando, FL; Michelle Boury-Shinkle and her husband Brian of Philadelphia, PA; Amanda Boury of Meadville, PA; Stephanie Albert and her husband Jim of Newton, MA; Christine Moyle of Pottstown, PA; Bethany and Taylor Boury of Wheeling, and two great-granchildren, Edward and Brittany Padden, both of West Dundee, IL.

It has been said that Betty Jo was considered to be one of the prettiest women in Wheeling in her early years. Besides being a loving mother, she will be remembered as an avid bowler, golfer, bridge player, and an excellent cook.
