East Stroudsburg - William H Haney 64 of Sciota, Stroudsburg R. D. 6 died Wednesday evening in the Pocono Hospital. he was the husband of Anna (Knapenberger) Kibler Haney.
He was born in Stroudsburg R.D. 4, a son of the late Charles and Emma (VanBuskirk) Haney.
He had worked for Duckloe Brothers Inc. in Portland, retiring two years ago. He had also worked at the Mammouth Hosiery Co. in Sroudsburg for 25 years. He also spent five years with the state highway department.
He was a member of the Christ Hamilton Church, Hamilton Square.
In addition, he was a member of the Signal Corps during World War II serving in Burma and India; the American Legion, Stroudsburg; the Fort Penn Lodge Stroudsburg 134 I.O.O.F; the Portland Hook and Ladder Co. and the Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder, Saylorsburg; and the West End Ambulance Assn.
In addition to his widow he is survived by a son, Ronald W. Haney of Stroudsburg R.D. 6. two daugthers Mrs Nancy Reifinger of Flourtown and Mrs. Patricia Ann Hasara of Strousburg R.D. 6; two stepsons, Richard Kibler of Hazleton, Clair Kibler of Kunkletown, six stepdaughters, Mrs Alice Getz of Kunkletown R.D. 1, Mrs Gladys Getz of Albrightsville, Mrs Nancy Ratojczak of Wilkes-Barre, Mrs Melva McArle of Jim Thorpe, Mrs Gloria Anewalt of Effort, and Mrs Edna Brong of Texas; three sisters, Mrs Hazel Buzzard of Kellersville, and Mrs Caterine Kitchen of Saylorsburg, and Mrs Margaret Feigley, Stroudsburg R.D. 5; two brothers, James of Lebanon, N.J. and Charles Haney Jr of Picture Rock; 26 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
Funerl service will be at 10 a.m Monday from the Kresge Funeral Home, Brodheasville with the Revs. John Warren and David Ritterpusch officiating, Burial will be in St. Paul's Luthern Cemetery, Albrightsville. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home.
