Carl Adamo, 64, of Williamsburg, passed away at home on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, after a long illness.
Carl served in the U.S. Army as a presidential honor guard and was stationed at Fort Meyers, Va. He moved his family from Randolph Township, N.J., to Williamsburg in 1970. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Kingsmill Golf Club.
Carl was a loving husband and father and a doting grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Carol Adamo; daughters, Caroline Clemons and her husband, Jeffrey and Suzanne Adamo; granddaughters, Caitlin and Madison Clemons and Jordan Adamo; brother, Frank Adamo of Florham Park, N.J., and Phil Adamo of Wall Township, N.J.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Va. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
