He was preceded in death by his sisters: Dora Mae Stalcup and Gracie Boling.
He was a member of Prospect Missionary Baptist Church and was a 50-year member of the Iron Workers Local No. 167 in Memphis. He spent his entire life in Jonesboro.
Survivors include a son, James M. Rupard of Searcy; a sister, Lorene Beck Cooper of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Randy Rupard, Doug Rupard and Kim Rupard; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Roller Falmers Union Funeral chapel in Jonesboro. Burial was at Pine Log Cemetery.
Active pallbeareres were: Josh Rupard, Ernest Cooper, John Lynn, Doug Rupard, James Lipford and Jack Bridger.
