, 53, of Kansas City and formerly of Joplin, died at 11 a.m. today in the Osteopathic Hospital in Kansas City.

She was born Jan. 23, 1916 in Joplin and lived here most of her life until moving to Kansas City four years ago.

Surviving are her husband James Apel: two daughters, Mrs. Betty Harder of Eureka, Calif, and Mrs. Nancy Kirkpatrick, 2117 W. 2nd St.; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Joyner of Kansas City, Mrs. Mary Cox of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Thelma Coleman of Waterlord, Calif., and seven grandchildren.

The body will be returned to Joplin for services and burial under direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary
