MRS. TOM SAMPLES DIED YESTERDAY AT COLUMBIA
Mrs. Alice May Samples, 32 year old wife of Tom Samples, died at the state cancer hospital at 1 p. m. yesterday. The body was returned here and funeral services will be held at Greer-Croy Chapel at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. W. S. Smelser, pastor of the Second Baptist church, will officiate at the services and burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Mrs. Samples had been in the hospital for the last nine weeks. She was born in Indiana, October 11, 1909 , and had resided in Butler county for the past 30 years. Survivors, in addition to the husband, are five children, Margaret, Roberta, Sylvia, Walter, and Samuel (twin brothers), her mother, Mrs Sam Mounts, who resides on highway 58, three sisters, Mrs. Vernie Gibson and Mrs. Pearl Wright of Poplar Bluff, and Mrs Bonnie Burnham of Detroit, Michigan, and two brothers, Claude R. Mounts of Bay City Michigan, and Everett S. Mounts of Poplar Bluff.
