Ada Rose SETTLES, age 87, of White Hall, died early Friday morning, Sept. 28, 2001 at Reisch Memorial Nursing Home in Carrollton.

She was born Dec. 7, 1913 in Walkerville, the daughter of Ira Elwood and Anna Mae Steward COX. She married William E. SETTLES and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1982.

She is survived by three daughters, Joyce (husband, Myrl) McEVERS of White Hall; Barbara (husband, Joseph) DANYLUK of Riverside, California and Sue (husband, James) VINYARD of Pittsfield; three sons, Ronald (wife, Hazel) SETTLES of Greenfield; Byron (wife, Georgene) SETTLES of Ninevah, Indiana and Billy D. (wife, Jan) SETTLES of Wapella; a daughter-in-law, Linda SETTLES of Jacksonville; twenty-six grandchildren; fifty great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary SETTLES; one granddaughter, Bekka SETTLES; six brothers, Newton COX, Vernon COX, Orville COX, Roy COX, Earl COX and Lowell COX; and three sisters, Addie SETTLES, Susie NANCE and Velma COX.

She was a member of the White Hall First Christian Church. She was a homemaker.

Services were entrusted to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home of White Hall, Illinois.
