B. Annette Hess, 67, of Ephrata, PA, formerly of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Robert A. Hess who passed away in 2000 and a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Mintz) Hahn.

Annette is survived by two sons: Robert Blevins of Florida and Geoffery A. Hess, husband of Kim A. (Horne) Hess of Ephrata; three grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bobbie, wife of John Nueman of Jonesboro, LA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Robert Hahn.

Annette was a former member of Pearl Street United Methodist Church in Lancaster and was a co-founder of Free Geek Penn in Ephrata.

Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, Inc., 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2010. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Hinkley officiating. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA. Lancaster Intelligencer Journal/New Era 8/24/2010
