Laura Regina Chaffee, 89, Adams County, died Friday January 5, 2001 at the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship. Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran church and interment will be in the East Arkdale cemetery.

Laura was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, January 9, 1911, to Ole and Synova "Sine" (Johnson) Stormoen. She was a retail clerk for many years at Bredeson Hardware and Coles Red Owl, Adams. After retiring she worked for the REA for 11 years as a meter reader. She had been a resident of Liberty Manor since March.

She is survived by one daughter, Izetta Paulson, Wisconsin Rapids; one son Conrad (Carol) Chaffee, Burlington; four sisters, Betty (Russ) Owens, Friendship, Sylvia Webb of Fairfield, California, Cora Hage, Necedah, and Orpha Lilek, of Cape Coral, Florida; three brothers, Orin (Grace) Stormoen of Arkdale, William Stormoen of Hayward, and Ole Stormoen, Jr., of Friendship; three daughters-in-law, Virginia Chaffee of Arkdale, Loretta Chaffee of Wisconsin Rapids, and Joan Chaffee of Luck; and 20 grandchildren.
