Abigail Aldrich was born Abigail Hoag in 1811 and her 1st husband was James Robson. Her second husband was Asa Aldrich. Joseph's father was James Robson b 19 Apr 1800, Norton, Yorkshire, Eng. and died 30 Apr 1832, Hartland, Niagara, NY..
Joseph served in the Civil War. It is believed that he was the first to answer the call from Genesee County NY. He was wounded at Cold Harbor and when he recovered he taught the new soldiers all about the guns they would use. He was mustered out at Annapolis in 1864. He attained the rank of 1st Lieutenant in the 8th N.Y. Heavy Art.
