Frank W. Mullen was born to James Mullen and Martha Morris on November 4, 1887 near Concord, Morgan County, Illinois, where he grew to manhood. He moved to Wewela in 1908 where he worked at many things before deciding on farming. He retired several years ago, but up to the time of his death he was interested in things pertaining to the community and affairs of the country. He enjoyed baseball and especially the Little League teams.
In 1933 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Blanche Redmond, who preceded him in death in 1940. He and his present wife were married in 1942.
He died June 25, 1968 in the Baptist Hospital at Winner at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 22 days.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; brother George of Bloomfield, sisters, Minnie McDermott of Concord, Illinois and Edith Brewer of Chicago, Illinois, and nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Charles and sister, Cora Fitzpatrick.
