Dennis E. Alagood, 55, of Hanover, died Sunday, August 22, 2010, at his home. He was the companion of Chris Geiman.

Mr. Alagood was born September 15, 1954, in York, a son of the late Kenneth L. and Kathryn R. (Eppley) Alagood.

He had been employed at Graham Container Co. for 25 years. He was a 1973 graduate of York County Vo Tech and was a member of the 12th Ward Democratic Club, the 9th Ward Republican Club, the Liberty Social Club, and the American Legion. He completed a course in fire fighting and was a volunteer with Rex Hook and Ladder Co.

Dennis is survived by his companion; a son, Matthew E. Alagood of Hanover; brothers and sisters, Michael E. Brown of York, Jim Alagood and his wife, Melanie of Windsor, Rick Alagood of Red Lion, Donna Alagood of York, and Terry Scott and her husband, Doug of Camp Hill; two nieces, three nephews; and two great-nephews.

Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.
