Mary Frances Fisher

Mrs. Mary Frances Fisher, age 83, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, after a long illness. She was born on July 2, 1927 in Wishart, Missouri, the daughter of James and Frances (Cunningham) Staas.

She was united in marriage to Paul J. Fisher on June 13, 1948.

Mary was saved on December 7, 1952, and was baptized on February 15, 1953 into the fellowship of the High Street Baptist Church, Springfield, where she remained a member until her death. She was a retired office manager.
Her husband, Paul; her parents; and a sister, Virginia, preceded Mary in death.

Mary is survived by seven sisters, Ruth Ross, Aldrich, Mo., Jean Hill, Cheyenne, Wyo., Betty Staas, Bolivar, Mo., Dottie Sue Thompson, Springfield, Mo., Judy Ankrom, Republic, Mo., Linda Smock, Springfield, Mo., and Debby Militscher, Reeds Spring, Mo.; two brothers, Bill Staas, Republic, Mo., and Roy Staas, Springfield, Mo.; a sister in law, Betty Greninger, Joplin, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; other relatives, and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, in the funeral home, with Rev.
