Mrs. Alice Marie Able, 82, died Thursday morning, April 14, at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Faris officiating. Mrs. Leo McCleary was organist.
Casket bearers were Everette Thompson, Jack Knerr, Gene Duncan, Richard Hills, Dale Powers and Richard Fuller. Burial was in Columbus City Cemetery.
The daughter of Roy and Cora Bell Poston Sill, she was born January 25, 1901, in East Moline, Illinois. She married Bela Allen who preceded her in death and later married James Abel who also preceded her in death.
A daughter, Mrs. Merle (Dorothy) Van Auken of Muscatine; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Dale Sill of Omaha, Nebraska, survive.
