CELEBRATION OF LOVE AND LIFE - JAMES HOUSTON LOWE

"If you can't remember the life God gave me or the life I have with God now, don't remember me at all."

God blessed Moses and Cealie Lowe with a baby boy, James Houston Lowe, April 22, 1944 in Houston, Texas. As a child, James and his family moved to Fresno, California where he received his early education. As a young man, James met and married the love of his life, Ms. Sandra L. Harris. God blessed this union with four children, Debbie Lowe of Chowchilla, California, James Lowe, Jr, Genia Findley and Robert Lowe of Fresno, California.

James was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed family first. He lost the love of his life, Sandra Lowe, on March 3, 2007. He told his loving daughter Genia he would see her soon.

James departed this life March 14, 2007 at the age of 62 years. He leaves to mourn his loving children: Debbie, James Jr., Genia and Robert; two sisters: Flodie Womacks and Lilly Smith; five brothers: Moses Lowe, Henry Lowe, Calvin Lowe and Felix Lowe of Fresno, California, and Cleveland Lowe of Chowchilla, California; 27 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

James was devoted to his love and now joins Sandra in God's Holy Kingdom.

"To My Grandpa: Hey, Grandpa, see when you left, it hurt so much because I don't have grandparents on earth anymore. That night when Grandma died, you told me that you were going to stay as long as you could for the sake of the family. Well, I know you loved Grandma very much and you couldn't be without each other. For 38 years you two were together and she left you for 11 days so I understand you had to be with her. So when I cry I'm not crying because you are gone, I'm crying because you are with Grandma and you are happy, loved and safe, you are with God." Love, Shalina, a.k.a. Rayle.

"My Dad's Favorite Poem: Footprint
One night a man had a dream he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life, for each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonged to him and the other the Lord. The man noticed that at the lowest and saddest points of his life there was only one set of footprints in the sand. This really bothered him so he questioned the Lord about it. Lord you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I noticed at the most lowest and saddest times in my life there are only one set of footprints. Why would you leave when I needed you most. The Lord replied, 'My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your trials and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you.'

"My family, hear me and know that through these times God carries you until you can carry yourself. God bless and keep you until it is time for you to go home with him." James H. Lowe, a.k.a. God's Child
