Mrs. Ellen Main, 75, Succumbed Saturday After Long Illness
Altona, Feb 1 – Mrs. Ellen Main, aged 75 years, a well known resident of this community, died Saturday morning at the country home of her son Clark Main, near this city.
Born on 13 March 1848, in Rio, IL., the deceased spent most of her life as a resident to Andrew Main occurred on 4 March 1868. Soon after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Main moved to the home where her death occurred. She is survived by one daughter Mrs. Walter McMaster, and two sons, Clark and Edward, all of this community. Ten brothers and sisters besides five grandchildren and a number of other relatives are also left to mourn her death.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the home, Rev. G. S. Baskerville, of this city. Officiating. Interment was made in the Oneida Cemetery. The body bearers were Ed Clifford, C.L. Youngdahl, H.C. Gehring, George Lundeen, E.W. ? and Gust Ekated.
