THOMAS G. BARTON

Jacksonville - Thomas Green Barton, 84, of Frankston, died in a local hospital early Tuesday following an extended illness.

Funeral services are set for 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Assembly of God Church in Frankston with the Rev. J. A. Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Frankston City Cemetery under the direction of Thompson-Elliott Funeral Home.

Mr. Barton had resided in Frankston since 1937. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary D. [Doxie] Barton; three sons, Alvie Barton of Snyder, M. T. Barton of California and Loys Barton of Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. Leila Brown of Orange, Mrs. Mabel Shelton of Corsicana, Mrs. Ruth Nolen and Mrs. Wanda Henderson, both of Frankston; two stepsons, C. D. Hollingsworth and R. F. Hollingsworth, both of Frankston; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Cotton, Mrs. Ethel Worsham and Mrs. Ida McLain, all of Brownsboro; 32 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Herbert Riley, Pete Westbrook, Carl Cook, Clyde Houston, Wayne Phillips and James Carroll.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD HERE JULY 1

Thomas Green Barton, 84, died early Tuesday morning in Nan Travis Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, in the Frankston Assembly of God Church with Rev. J. A. Griffin, pastor and Rev. John F. Garrett officiating. Burial was in the City Cemetery.

Mr. Barton had resided in Frankston since 1937. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Doxie Barton; three sons, Alvie Barton of Snyder, M.T.
