Note: This is the only time "Boston" has been found for his middle name. In all other records he appears as John, John W., or John William.
This is a small metal plate screwed onto a piece of cement and was certainly homemade. Unfortunately the listed date of birth is incorrect. Although his year of birth varies in the census records, his marriage record and on his death record, he was certainly born before 1830, probably about 1829.
