Gerald L. "Gerry" Felski, 58, of Merrimack, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at his home following a valiant battle with cancer.
Mr. Felski was born Nov. 1, 1946, in Buffalo, N.Y., son of Josephine (Zadora, Felski) Kessler of Buffalo, N.Y., and the late Leo F. Felski. He moved to Merrimack in 1978.
He was the husband of Kathleen Felski of Merrimack, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage. Mr. Felski attended New Hampshire College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in business while employed as a national sales trainer with Digital Equipment Corp. He founded Amita Success Systems and was a successful motivational speaker and trainer.
He was a member of the National Speakers Association and the past president for the New England Speakers Association and for the American Society for Training & Development.
Mr. Felski loved the town of Merrimack, and gave hundreds of hours to the community as a police officer, firefighter, communications dispatcher, founding member and director of Crimeline, Red Cross Response Team member, adoption counselor for the Animal Rescue League (in Bedford), 3rd degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician.

He was a strong advocate for live donor transplants and the gift of life that they represent. He was a catalyst in the formation of the New Hampshire Living Liver Organ Transplant Funds.

Mr. Felski was a loving and compassionate husband, father, son and friend.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Felski was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church, where he was active as a lector, usher, Eucharistic minister and religious education teacher. Most of all, he was a symbol of faith.
