Martha Ruth Gaston Blizzard, 93, passed away on August 20, 2010, in Jacksonville, FL. Martha was married to Seabrook Blizzard for 43 years prior to his death in 1986. She lived her life for her family. Growing up a farm girl in Reidville, SC, Martha had 11 siblings, one of whom was her twin, Mary. An Erskine College graduate, she went on to earn a Master's Degree at the U. of Florida, and taught in Duval County, where she later served as a guidance counselor. Martha enjoyed a rich and full life centered on family, friends, and her church, First Presbyterian of Jacksonville, while also accepting leadership roles in the Colonial Dames, DAR, UDC and the Huguenot Society. She is remembered by all she touched and survived by her two sons Bill (Pat) and Bob (Donna), grandchildren Charles, Zachary (Parul), and Shannon, great granddaughter, Madeline, and sister, Louise Rankin. A graveside service will be held in Moore, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the McGraw Center for Caring, Hospice Foundation, Jacksonville, FL would be appreciated.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Nazareth Presbyterian Church, 680 Nazareth Church Road, Moore, SC, on Friday, August 27th to celebrate the 93 years she gave to us.
