Mr. Glenard W. Smith Jr., 42, of Walkersville, son of the late Glenard W. Smith Sr. and Helen V. Hill Smith, died Wednesday, March 27, at his home. He was born January 20, 1932. He was employed by the Frederick County Board of Education. He was a member of James (Jug) Howard Rod and Gun Club, Inc.
He is survived by six children; one grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jo Gaither and Mrs. Betty Foreman, both of Frederick; one aunt, Mrs. Marguerite Sappington, Frederick; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Barton-Stauffer Funeral Home, Walkersville, Friday, March 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m. The Rev. H.J. McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Frederick.
