Dies in Hospital
Mrs Emily H. Boyd of 2907
Parrott died Sunday night in a
local hospital. She was 94.
Funeral services will be at 1
p.m. Tuesday in Wilkirson and
Hatch Chapel. Minister Trine
Starnes will officiate. Burial will
be in Ridge Park Cemetery in
Hillsboro.
Mrs. Boyd was a native of
Pontotoc County in Mississippi.
She was reared and educated
there, but came to Texas in 1893.
She married Oral E. Boyd in
1895. They lived in Hill County
until 1926 when they moved to
Waco. She was a member of
the Columbus Avenue Church of
Christ and was active in the
church as long as her health
permitted.
Survivors are three daugh-
ters Mrs Odis R. McCune of
2907 Parrott, Mrs. Alex
Meadows of 3410 Morrow and
Mrs Marie Massengale of 2227
Colonial; a son, O. D. Boyd of
2524 Bosque; 26 grandchildren;
48 great-grandchildren; and six
great-great-grandchildren.
