Mr. Moore, 77, of Springfield, ticket agent for the Illinois Central Railroad Co. for 54 years, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
Mr. Moore lived in Decatur from 1935 to 1945.
He was born July 11, 1891 at Barclay, a son of John and Willa Wahl Moore.
Mr. Moore was a member of the Transportation and Communications Employees Union; the Knights of Columbus Council 364, Springfield; and the Holy Name Society of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
He married Grace Bice, who survives.
He also leaves three daughters, Mary Willa Moore, at home; Mrs. Clyde (Anna Jean) Durham, of Hartford, Ind.; and Mrs. George (Alyce Jo) Rivard, of Winnetka; a son, James B., of Springfield; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
