Mrs. Lucille C. Reed, 89, of Walkerton, died Thursday, May 4, 2006, at 12:50 p.m. LaPorte County time at Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton.
She was born April 16, 1917, in Winslow, Ind., to Turner L. and Delta B. (Buiher) Corn, and had lived in Walkerton since 1942, coming from Goshen.
Mrs. Reed was a homemaker.
On Nov. 1, 1936, in Mount Carmel, Ill., she married Buthyl W. "Boots" Reed, who died Aug. 19, 1998.
One sister and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Buthyl L. (Lewie) of Walkerton; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Turner B. Corn of Leavenworth, Ind.
A graveside service will be Friday at 9 a.m. LaPorte County time at Grovertown Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton, is in charge of arrangements.
