The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sarecta Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Devotional Gardens, Warsaw.
Mr. Summerlin was born July 12, 1933, to the late Leslie and Lucy Taylor Summerlin. He was a U.S.. Army veteran and was the husband of the late Geraldine Dunn Summerlin.
He is survived by one daughter, Myra S. Lanier and husband, Keith, of Kenansville; three grandchildren, Amy L. Rich and husband, Clayton, of Garland, Johnathan Lanier of Chinquapin and Rebecca Lanier of Kenansville; one brother, Leslie Milton Summerlin of Washington state.; five sisters, Mary S. Outlaw of Mount Olive, Joyce S. Jones and Lois S. Allen of Garner, Mavis S. Miller of Wilmington and Christine S. Espin of Fort Mill, S.C.
