Mildred Cathryn Winter Key was born to Stephen and Pearl Winter on October 2, 1921 in Yuma, AZ, and was a resident of Madera, CA for the past 60 years. Mildred was a devoted homemaker for 70 years.

In her younger years, Mildred enjoyed camping with family and friends at Bass Lake or Fish Camp. Mildred, a devoted wife and mother, loved to cook and bake for her family. She and her husband were a positive influence on their children, and set a example of hard work, dedication and respect for the children to follow.

One of her favorite saying was "my lands, J.D."...

Mildred was loved by her family and friends for her giving and caring nature. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were what she lived for. She will be greatly missed by us all.

Mildred passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Key in 1998, her parents, and her siblings, Bessie Evans, Virgil Key and Edward Key.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives, her daughter and husband, a brother, two sisters. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.

Graveside Service were held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, CA
