Carl lost his courageous fight with pancreatic cancer on August 25, 2010. Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, and brother will be deeply missed.

Born to Helge Larson and Gertrude Holstrom on July 4, 1943 in Brockington, Saskatchewan, Canada, he was the middle child of nine and loved his large family.

He married his sweetheart, Patricia C. McGalliard, on September 14, 1963 and was later sealed in the Cardston Alberta Temple.

Carl was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has a strong testimony of the Savior.

Carl was a true "go-to guy" and "fix-it man". His sons-in-law learned early on that it was best to just call Carl, rather than try and fix anything on their own. "Call Dad, don't fix it!" was a common phrase. Carl was a perfectionist in everything from woodworking to business to how he loved his family and friends.

Everything he did he did with precision. He loved his grandchildren and spent countless hours at their events. His dry sense of humor took us all off guard at times, but always brought smiles. Those who worked with Carl learned that he was tenacious and had impeccable follow-through. He was a true salesman who focused on relationships and found great success as a result.

Carl is survived by his loving wife Pat and daughters Coleen Workman (Verl), Paula Million (Sam), Brittney Moll (Keith), and Brooke Provstgaard (Nick), and twelve grandchildren, including grandson Nate Workman who is serving an LDS mission in the Philippines, siblings Mildred, Annette, Eskil, Beverly, Dennis, and Gail and their spouses. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gary and Calvin, and his infant daughter Ellen Patricia Larson.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, Utah, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the Church on Monday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Funeral Services will held in the Butler Stake Center, 7035 South Nutree Drive (3255 East), Cottonwood Heights, Utah, on Monday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment: Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
