Gene Sollinger, 77, a resident of the Cashmere area for the past 35 years, died at his home Wednesday morning, Dec. 20, 1972. He was born on Sept. 8, 1885, in Everson, was raised there and attended school. On Aug. 19, 1918, he married Beatrice Jones Everson. They moved to Cash-mere in 1937 and he worked for a cannery and farmed until his retirement. Surviving are his wife, of Cashmere; three sons, Vern of Cashmere, Byron of Westford, Mass, and Ron of Friday Harbor; two daughters, Jean Wines, Seattle, and Mariann Foust, Eugene, Or., 20 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren; and a sister, Daisy Ward, Bellingham. The Braun Funeral Home, Cashmere, was in charge of the arrangements. Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Cashmere Cemetery with the Rev. Louis C. Henning officiating.
