Rev. Musselman was proprietor of radio station WSAN, Allentown, and was a pioneer religious broadcaster. He was 66. He began his radio career in 1925 and for more than 32 years conducted an early morning program which made him one of the oldest religious broadcasters in point of service in the nation.
Ordained in 1916 in Philadelphia, he served congregations in the Fleetwood-Blandon-Tere Hill charge in Berks County and in Reading before moving to Allentown. He was named pastor of the Bethel Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church in 1920. in 1945 he asked to be relieved of his duties to devote full time to radio.
Rev. Musselman was born in Allentown, October 18, 1890, a son of the Rev. H. B. Musselman and the late Annie (Baus) Musselman. In 1911 he married Cora B. Rothermel. They have two children, Olivia, wife of I. W, Barnes, and Reuel Harvey Musselman, chief engineer at WSAN. Both are part owners of the radio station. A brother, Jansen, lives in Atkinson, N. H.
Rev. Musselman was active in civic affairs, working in the Community Chest and annual March of Dimes drives. In 1942 he was chairman of the Mile O' Dimes campaign.
Three years ago he was struck by an automobile but recovered sufficiently to return in his daily morning broadcasts. But since the accident he has not been in robust health.
