DEATH OF JAMES BUTCHER
A message from Lafayette last Friday announces the death of James H. Butcher at the soldiers' home.
Mr. Butcher had been in ill health for several months with blood poisoning and paralysis and about four weeks ago was sent to the soldiers' home. He was a native of Monroe County, 68 years old, a soldier in Co. "A," 54th Indiana. He leaves three grown children--George Butcher, Mrs. Everett Shook and Mrs. Newton Goodman.
